Non-stick coated pestles are chemically inert, resilient, and autoclavable. The smooth, nonwettable surface is perfect to grind soft tissues and to resuspend protein and DNA pellets. Use the stainless steel shaft (5", 3 mm OD) by hand or mount in a chuck. Measure 57⁄8" (15 cm) long. Flat or rounded tip pestles are for use with 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes.
